His unique skillset suits complex legal challenges and the public arena surrounding them.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, a master\u2019s degree in writing from Boise State, and a law degree from the University of Idaho. Dan clerked for a United States District Judge as an extern, then learned court as a public defender in Ada and Canyon Counties. He was then a successful partner in a litigation defense firm for over a dozen years. Dan next served\u00a0as General Counsel for one of Idaho\u2019s largest school districts for several years before returning to private practice. He is as comfortable in the courtroom as he is in the classroom and the boardroom. Dan counsels public entities and businesses on conflicts, litigation, investigations, disability law, and all employment matters.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aside from the law, Dan has a lifelong commitment to making the world a better, more just planet. He has worked to protect wild spaces, wild animals, human rights, and supported literacy in Africa. When he\u2019s not working on one thing or another, he\u2019s off to the mountains on skis, boats and bikes.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dan has a unique understanding of the nuance behind workplace challenges, and the need to solve them with as little conflict as possible.
